Plan Your Visit

Williamston Theatre is located in the heart of downtown Williamston, 20 miles east of downtown Lansing.

Williamston’s downtown is two to three blocks in each direction from the center intersection of Putnam Street and Grand River Avenue. It is a very walkable city, with plenty of dining options. In the warm months, come early, take a stroll to McCormick Park, and then pop over to catch a show at the Theatre.

Directions

The Williamston Theatre is located at 122 S. Putnam Street, just south of the Four Corners intersection of Putnam Street and Grand River Avenue. From I-96, take exit 117 and head north on Williamston Road. We are located 1.75 miles north of the interstate, on the west side of the street, north of Middle Street.

** Please be aware of delays on our local roads and highways. Click here for the MDOT Interactive Drive Map. Allow extra time for your trip to the Theatre. Late seating in our space is very difficult!

Parking

Parking is plentiful and free. There is a good deal of street parking both on Putnam Street and Grand River Avenue. There are several municipal parking lots in the downtown area all within one to two blocks of the Theatre. Look for public parking signs when you get into town. If you are attending a show in the evening or on the weekends, you may park at Huntington Bank on the southwest corner of Middle and Putnam Streets, just south of the Williamston Theatre.

Stay the Night!

The Williamston Inn is a nostalgic motor lodge from the days when M-43 was the main route from Detroit to Lansing. The Willowicke Inn is a full-service Bed and Breakfast, complete with a llama farm! Make a weekend of it and stay for a wonderful small-town experience.

Community Events

Williamston has community events throughout the year, including the annual Holiday Light Parade, free concerts at the band shell, and a summer Farmer’s Market. Visit the City of Williamston website for a list of community events.
